the origins of the orange are Southeast Asia or India, described as of 2200 B.C. in India. The principal producers of the essence are Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Florida, U.S.A. The name orange comes from the Sanscrit word ”narange.” The orange tree was imported in Europe in the 15th century.
The essence of sweet orange is obtained through the cold expression of the orange peel.
Principally used in eaux de Cologne.
Orange juice is used to fight against epilepsy and neurosis (vitamin C). The orange is a symbol of luck and prosperity in China and always used in the Chinese New Year’s festivities.
