  • Gum resin collected after having cut the bark of the Boswellia sacra tree that is cultivated in Yemen.

  • The gum resin is obtained through exudation. After being collected, it is either distilled through water vapor to obtain the essence, or extracted through the use of volatile solvents to manufacture resinoid.

  • Olibanium is used in refined perfumery. It brings spicy, citrus and balsamic hues to perfumes. It resembles myrrh and elemi.
